Senior Experience Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead experience design for complex Inventor workflows, focusing on mechanical design, documentation, and professional engineering experiences.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and architects to frame problems and define user-centered solutions that balance technical constraints with business goals.
• Create and communicate design artifacts including sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UX specifications.
• Drive customer research and usability studies to validate design decisions and deepen understanding of user pain points.
• Prototype and explore AI-driven and automation-enabled experiences to improve efficiency and user control in professional workflows.
• Communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to design critiques and team mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or experience design.
• Bachelor’s degree in UX design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in human-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Proven experience designing for complex software workflows, particularly in desktop or professional-grade environments.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk products (Inventor, Fusion, AutoCAD) or adjacent CAD/CAM technologies.
• Domain familiarity with mechanical engineering workflows or digital manufacturing.
• Experience prototyping AI-driven interactions, including intelligent assistance or generative experiences.
• Understanding of responsible AI design, including trust, transparency, and human oversight.
• Experience working with design systems and reusable interaction patterns.
