About the role
Responsibilities
- Coach executive producers, line producers, anchors, reporters, and photojournalists
- Oversee newscast rundowns and scripts to ensure high-quality broadcast and digital content
- Respond aggressively to breaking news situations
- Lead editorial meetings and help recruit and evaluate production staff
- Oversee the investigative team and lead special projects, including documentary-style packages and special shows
- Articulate and execute a vision for impactful, insightful, and meaningful storytelling
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of producing experience
- Prior management and leadership experience
- Above average writing and communication skills
- Strong news judgment and unwavering journalistic integrity
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate crews and responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Creative presentation style with the ability to showcase all available resources
