About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical and scientific support for the breast cancer franchise to improve patient outcomes.
- Lead and develop a team of 3-4 medical affairs professionals, providing strategic direction and mentorship.
- Formulate and execute meaningful scientific and clinical narratives for assets and evidence generation plans.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and scientific communities.
- Identify evidence gaps and develop proposals to address them through clinical or health outcomes research.
- Shape breast cancer strategy and execution plans across the US and global markets.
- Support the acceleration of clinical trial enrollment through strategic messaging and investigator engagement.
- Collaborate with clinical development and brand teams to support pre- and post-commercialization activities.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Board eligibility or certification in an appropriate specialty/subspecialty.
- Completion of medical school education that meets LCME requirements.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience, specifically breast cancer tumor expertise.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a pharmaceutical or clinical research setting.
- Experience in medical affairs, drug development, or pre-launch product positioning.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20-30%).
