About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical and scientific support for breast cancer therapies, specifically focusing on PI3K inhibitors in late-phase development.
- Lead and develop a team of medical affairs professionals, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management.
- Formulate meaningful clinical and scientific narratives to engage with external stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Identify evidence gaps and develop proposals for evidence generation to inform strategic priorities.
- Shape breast cancer and PI3K strategy and execution plans across global markets.
- Support the acceleration of clinical trial enrollment through strategic messaging and investigator engagement.
- Collaborate with clinical development teams to inform drug development plans and participate in investigator selection.
- Translate complex scientific data into clear, persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, including congress symposia and medical education initiatives.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Board eligibility or certification in an appropriate specialty/subspecialty.
- Proven oncology experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20-30%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in breast cancer tumor biology.
- Experience with drugs targeting the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway.
- Experience in pre-launch, launch, or post-launch pharmaceutical environments.
- Prior experience in clinical research or pharmaceutical medicine.
- Demonstrated track record of managing direct reports (3-4+ preferred).
