Senior Estimator

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion
• Analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates
• Utilise industry-standard estimating software to prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing data
• Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes
• Conduct value engineering analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and present cost estimates and reports to internal stakeholders and clients
• Monitor and track changes in project scope and update cost estimates accordingly
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators

Requirements

• Relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy environment
• Experience in mining, gas, and power generation sectors
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Proven report and bid writing skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
