Senior Estimator

Responsibilities

• Build first-principles pricing for utilities and water sector projects, including facilities, civils, and pipework
• Quantify from design information and collaborate with engineers to ensure precision
• Validate quantities and pricing from suppliers and contractors
• Source and review quotations, negotiating competitive pricing
• Assess and price risk during early project stages
• Structure estimates, bills of quantities, and bills of materials
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Deliver integrated estimating services, offering strategic and technical advice throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience, ideally in water utilities and related sectors
• Strong electrical estimating knowledge
• Proven ability to estimate from first principles for water and wastewater projects
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or similar
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Consultancy experience and contractor-side knowledge
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI experience
• CSS Candy/Quantum experience
• Mechanical estimating experience
