Senior Estimator

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of project estimating from preliminary concepts through completed bid packages
• Prepare detailed conceptual budgets from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design, and design development documents
• Perform detailed take-offs of all trades
• Initiate and manage the entire bid process including preparation of detailed bid packages
• Level subcontractor bids, negotiate, and purchase all subcontractors
• Maintain vendor relationships and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients
• Interpret drawings and specifications to quantify scope and develop projections for materials and labor
• Identify potential risks and propose cost-efficient solutions
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions
• Guide and support junior estimators

Requirements

• Four-year degree
• 7-10 years minimum experience in budgeting/estimating for ground-up residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale renovation projects
• Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
• Knowledge of South Florida subcontractor base
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure of deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procore
• Experience with Timberline
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff
