Senior Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical and civil quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and conceptual budgets
• Review drawings, specifications, and assess risks to evaluate cost-effective construction methods
• Lead tendering activities, including bid reviews, pricing coordination, and documentation
• Review subcontractor and supplier bids and support negotiations
• Mentor junior estimators and manage estimating resources across project types
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and suppliers
• Maintain estimating tools and databases such as Bid2Win and Accubid

Requirements

• 10+ years of estimating experience in utility projects
• Degree or Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proficiency with Bid2Win, Accubid, Procure, and MS Office
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and perform quantity takeoffs for utilities, earthworks, and concrete
• Solid understanding of civil construction methods and tendering processes
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical trades background or field experience
• P.Eng. Designation
• Gold Seal Certified (GSC)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
