Senior Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage local Equipment Technicians and provide direct support to gyms
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment, including massage chairs and hydro beds
• Perform repairs on all types of fitness equipment
• Manage and close service tickets in the OpenWrench system
• Maintain inventory and spare parts to ensure quick resolution and repairs
• Oversee local equipment service vendors to ensure quality service delivery
• Train, hire, manage, and develop local Equipment Technicians
• Manage and maintain the company vehicle and organized inventory

Requirements

• Must successfully pass background check
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record
• Must maintain personal vehicle insurance minimums
• Must have reliable transportation to multiple job locations
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs routinely and repetitively
• Ability to work in a gym setting and communicate with members and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in fitness equipment management
• 2 years of experience in team management
• 2 years of experience in vendor management
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook
• Technical skills in repair and maintenance of fitness equipment and physical facilities
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical equipment
