Senior Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of sputtering equipment used in hard disk media production
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize sputtering processes and develop equipment upgrade plans
• Provide technical expertise, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure all equipment and support systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and prepare performance metric reports for management

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Material, or related Engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment engineering, preferably in sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of vacuum systems and thin-film deposition techniques
• Proficiency in PLC programming and automation
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically within a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Advanced knowledge of high-vacuum technology and plasma physics
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for complex troubleshooting
