Senior Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support to troubleshoot vacuum furnaces, pumps, blowers, and material handling equipment
• Create and revise CAD models, fabrication drawings, and mechanical fixture designs
• Work with Maintenance to refine equipment health check strategies and lubrication plans
• Perform technical reviews of mechanical design documents to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Establish technical relationships with external fabrication and repair vendors
• Implement condition-based monitoring procedures using operational data
• Participate in feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for equipment upgrades
• Document solutions and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of Equipment Engineering experience in Chemical Process, Semiconductor, Automotive, or high-volume manufacturing
• Experience with high-vacuum systems, pumps, motors, blowers, and valves
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing processes like machining and sheet metal fabrication
• Experience with PLC based controls (TwinCAT) and SCADA (Ignition) is a plus
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear required PPE
• Ability to move items up to 50 lbs and navigate industrial environments
