Senior Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support to troubleshoot pumps, blowers, furnaces, and material handling equipment
• Create and revise CAD models, fabrication drawings, and mechanical fixture designs
• Refine equipment health check strategies, maintenance procedures, and lubrication plans
• Perform technical reviews of mechanical design documents to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Maintain technical relationships with external fabrication and repair vendors
• Implement condition-based monitoring procedures using operational data
• Participate in feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for equipment upgrades
• Document solutions and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in chemical process or manufacturing environments
• Experience with industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, blowers, and valves
• Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design and drafting
• Working knowledge of industrial codes, standards, and regulations
• Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-temperature environments like furnaces
• Familiarity with Mechanical Integrity concepts within a Process Safety Management (PSM) facility
