About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation systems and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
- Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed automation solutions
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment and software
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of automation systems
- Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or a related field)
- 5-7 years of experience in automation engineering
- Proven track record of successful automation projects within the medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
