About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation systems and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed automation solutions
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment and software
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of automation systems
  • Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals and maintenance procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or a related field)
  • 5-7 years of experience in automation engineering
  • Proven track record of successful automation projects within the medical device industry
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
