Senior Environmental Test Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create environmental test plans, procedures, and reports to satisfy internal and external test requirements
• Participate in environmental tests, both onsite and offsite
• Support test execution via scheduling and travel to test houses
• Perform failure analysis and generate recovery plans for test failures
• Maintain and operate environmental test equipment such as vibration tables and thermal chambers
• Design and support the operation of new environmental test instrumentation systems
• Apply knowledge of environmental standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering, software engineering, avionics, or launch vehicle integration
• Fundamental knowledge of environmental component level tests
• Experience integrating launch vehicle or aircraft electrical systems
• Experience designing test instrumentation systems
• Ability to review electrical and mechanical schematics
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with environmental acceptance and qualification testing
• Experience with full life cycle of data acquisition and instrumentation selection
• Experience testing RF components (transmitters, GPS, antennas)
• Knowledge of NI cRIO or cDAQ platforms
• Proficiency in Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB
• Experience with Git and JIRA
• Experience using SolidWorks or CAD software
