Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the EHS management system in accordance with the latest laws and regulations
• Partner with business services departments including Facilities, Construction, Human Resources, and Security to provide technical support
• Roll out site and corporate EHS programs covering health protection, chemical safety, waste management, and radiation safety
• Analyze and track EHS standards using company legal registration tools and report on regulatory changes
• Develop, review, and implement annual EHS training plans and programs
• Perform regular site safety inspections and manage follow-up corrective actions
• Support internal and external HSE audits in support of the corporate audit program
• Provide sustaining support for construction projects, including design drawing reviews, vendor qualification, and onsite safety reviews
• Support the Corporate/local emergency response team in developing and implementing emergency response plans
• Implement special health protection programs and complete all mandatory government reporting assignments

Requirements

• Class A Occupational health management specialist certification is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of Environment Health & Safety related work experience (or equivalent experience as specified in qualifications)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Chinese and English
• Willingness to travel domestically (approximately 20% per month) and occasionally to Taipei

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of full-time experience in an EHS role, preferably within a foreign company
• Expertise in EHS Regulations, compliance programs, and EHS ISO Standards
