Senior Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and mentor junior staff in the development of design basis, technology feasibility analyses, and design plans, specifications, and reports
• Lead and support environmental engineering projects to evaluate, design, construct, operate, and optimize remedial systems
• Provide technical assistance and problem-solving to teams across multiple offices
• Plan and perform assessments, pilot tests, and construction oversight
• Prepare preliminary environmental engineering reports and design criteria
• Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance
• Manage projects and clients ranging from small businesses to complex industrial and governmental facilities
• Draft proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections
• Collaborate with the Nashville Business Lead to develop and supervise the local design engineering team

Requirements

• ABET Accredited Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
• 7-15 years of relevant experience
• Tennessee P.E. license or ability to obtain within three months
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations (CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, etc.)
• Experience with industrial wastewater, stormwater management, solid waste handling, or groundwater/soil treatment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight (<25%)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in treatment system instrumentation, controls, and remote telemetry
• Business development experience
