Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Apply local, state, and federal environmental regulations to deliver compliance solutions for diverse clients
• Develop and submit environmental compliance documents including Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
• Perform hands-on environmental compliance audits to identify regulatory non-conformances
• Serve as technical lead for implementing corrective and preventive actions at client sites
• Develop multimedia environmental compliance programs across wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste
• Provide project management for environmental compliance and permitting engagements, including proposal development and billing
• Mentor and supervise junior compliance staff
• Travel periodically to client locations in Texas and throughout the U.S.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience with consulting experience
• Seasoned technical writing skills for permit applications and audit reports
• Experience in project management, including developing scopes of work and cost proposals
• Strong consulting, relationship-building, and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification
• Other relevant environmental certifications
