About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with environmental licenses, operating conditions, and certificates for energy projects.
- Manage technical reports for environmental programs, monitoring, and compliance.
- Coordinate socio-environmental programs and environmental compensation processes, including forest replacement.
- Manage environmental project budgets, including physical-financial tracking and cost control.
- Oversee environmental service contracts, including consultancies and third-party providers.
- Liaise with federal, state, and municipal environmental agencies to expedite regularization processes.
- Develop, review, and standardize technical environmental procedures and instructions.
- Support operation and maintenance teams with technical environmental guidance and conduct periodic inspections.
- Investigate environmental accidents and incidents, proposing and monitoring action plans.
Requirements
- Degree in Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or Geography.
- Proven experience with environmental licensing and compliance for energy projects at federal, state, and municipal levels.
- Expertise in environmental impact assessment and environmental control.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and regulations.
- Experience in budget and schedule management, third-party management, and field team coordination.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel.
- Valid Driver's License (CNH B).
- Availability for travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in English or Spanish.
- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools.
- Postgraduate degree in environmental, management, or energy-related fields.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14.001).
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Training in Project Management.
