About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and own executive-level relationships with target accounts, including VPs of R&D, CIOs, and Innovation Leads.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline across IonQ’s full stack, including Quantum Computing, Networking, Security, and Sensing.
- Prioritize opportunities based on specific end-user use cases and long-term strategic alignment with the IonQ roadmap.
- Own the full sales lifecycle from initial relationship building and technical qualification to RFP response and high-stakes negotiation.
- Partner with Customer Success post-sale to drive renewals and identify incremental revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate internally to ensure all organizational resources are aligned to successfully pursue and close complex deals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with quota-carrying responsibilities.
- Proven track record of closing multi-million dollar infrastructure or platform deals.
- Experience in category creation, specifically selling "off-budget" or "future-state" solutions.
- Experience selling high-performance computing (HPC), AI infrastructure, or complex business-driving software solutions.
- Ability to navigate unique and complex procurement requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing executive-level relationships (CTO, CIO, Head of Quantum) within enterprise customer bases.
- Quantum literacy, specifically regarding how quantum technologies relate to enterprise algorithms and applications.
- Demonstrated experience in frontier technology category creation.
