Senior Engineer/Technical Lead - Structures Design

Responsibilities

• Lead a specific discipline team such as Structural & Bridge or Utilities & Roads
• Supervise intermediate and junior engineers in design development and drafting tasks
• Coordinate technical instructions with UAE project teams and the Technical Manager
• Check and approve complex construction drawings and details
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international codes including Eurocode, BS, AASHTO, DM, RTA, and DEWA
• Coach mid- and junior-level engineers in drafting standards and technical problem-solving
• Implement and monitor discipline-specific drafting standards and internal review procedures
• Report team progress, resource needs, and technical challenges to the Technical Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering
• 8–12 years of professional experience in large-scale infrastructure projects
• 3–5 years of experience leading a technical team or working as a discipline lead
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
• Experience with overseas or Middle East infrastructure projects preferred
• Proven experience producing and reviewing detailed shop drawings for civil infrastructure projects
• Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken
