About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance on complex semiconductor process equipment.
  • Conduct structured root-cause analysis to resolve hardware and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and Field Service Engineers to fine-tune equipment parameters and improve yield.
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks related to chemical handling, gas delivery, and tool operations.
  • Provide technical updates and guidance to customers and mentor junior technicians on diagnostic methods.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanroom protocols and contamination control.
  • Document technical issues, trends, and corrective actions clearly and structured.

Requirements

  • Technical school diploma (2-year program), a BS degree with 1–3 years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant technical experience in fab, OEM, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Proven experience working with complex semiconductor or similar process equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to perform structured root-cause analysis.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, including night shifts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ASM GTC Level 3 certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience linking tool performance to process flows and yield deviations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement durable corrective actions and refine diagnostic protocols.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff using structured problem-solving approaches like 5 Whys or 8D.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills.
