Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the Postgres data-plane and orchestration/control plane for a managed service
• Build consensus across multiple parties to reach scalable and timely solutions
• Develop and deliver the product roadmap while balancing long-term thinking with immediate business needs
• Manage trade-offs between consistency, performance, scaling limits, and costs
• Ensure operational readiness regarding durability, availability, performance, and security

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, databases, or cloud services
• 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams
• Proven track record of delivering resilient systems in production
• Significant experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong hands-on technical ability with experience navigating complex codebases
• Deep understanding of Postgres or strong database fundamentals including consistency and scaling limits
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
