Senior Engineering Manager, Product Design

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff through coaching and performance management
• Oversee Design Engineering and Production Engineering functions
• Manage preparation of product layout drawings, bills of material, and fabrication drawings
• Coordinate the translation of customer orders into manufacturing-ready formats
• Manage the Production Engineering process to maintain budgeted volumes and on-time delivery
• Coordinate manufacturing launches for new and revised products
• Serve as a technical resource for sales, project management, architects, and dealers
• Apply product and process analysis to drive cost reduction and operational efficiency
• Design and test tools, machinery, and equipment to support manufacturing methods
• Identify opportunities for value engineering to improve margins

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering
• 5+ years of engineering management experience in manufacturing
• 5+ years of experience in engineer-to-order manufacturing
• 3+ years in fabrication, submission applications, or design engineering
• Background in building, construction, remodel, or retrofit industries
• Exposure to architectural metals, sheet metal, or structural glazing
• Familiarity with CNC or production software inputs

Preferred Qualifications

• Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing experience
