Senior Engineering Manager Payments

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a high-growth payments engineering team focused on the Mexican market
• Drive the execution and delivery of new features and products in a fast-paced environment
• Manage team performance, wellbeing, and productivity through regular feedback and objective setting
• Partner with Product Managers to define objectives, priorities, and technical tradeoffs
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Establish scalable processes to address growing pains during rapid expansion
• Recruit and hire top-tier engineering talent while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in engineering leadership and people management
• Proven track record as a senior individual contributor with strong technical acumen
• Experience working within a fast-paced startup environment
• Deep knowledge of payments processing technologies and vendors specifically in the Mexican market
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (Advanced level)
• Strong project management skills with the ability to own both planning and execution

• Experience building large-scale platforms with global reach
• Ability to balance rapid go-to-market speed within highly regulated environments
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance software development, testing, or automation
