Senior Engineering Manager NPD/DTV

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning, development, and project execution for new products (NPD) and design-to-value (DTV) initiatives.
• Manage the technical scoping of new products, translating customer needs into technical requirements and concept development.
• Oversee the NPD Stage Gate process, including prototyping, design verification (DVP&R), thermal simulation, and agency compliance (UL, NSF, DOE, etc.).
• Drive the DTV process to identify productivity projects and ensure team meeting savings, timing, and volume objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Sourcing, Sales, Manufacturing, and international innovation centers.
• Direct the integration of technical activities and ensure the continued transition and development of CAD (Solidworks) and PLM/PDM systems.
• Perform manufacturing process capability assessments to define critical design parameters and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience with commercial or industrial products (HVAC, refrigeration, or thermodynamic systems).
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing a team of engineers and designers in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering new products or large-scale VAVE projects from concept to launch.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Design for Value (DTV) training or certification.
• Extensive experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, or airflow thermal management.
• Deep understanding of supermarket refrigeration systems and commercial display products.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
