Responsibilities

• Oversee engineers to build and ship key features
• Act as a technical SME by diving into architecture and implementation
• Collaborate with product teams to develop the tech roadmap
• Recruit, hire, grow, and retain high-quality engineering talent
• Manage pod OKRs, metrics, and KPIs to contribute to strategy and vision
• Assess risk and deliver plans and timelines for the pod
• Write design reviews and mentor the team on architectural decisions

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering management experience in high-growth organizations
• 6+ years of experience as an individual contributor
• Experience designing and implementing complex backend systems
• Experience with backend architectural patterns for large, high-scale web applications
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices including design patterns, code reviews, and testing
• Proven track record of shipping complex products in fast-paced environments
