Senior Engineering Manager - Endpoint

Responsibilities

• Personally contribute to design, architecture, and implementation of Mac/Windows platforms and the new Linux platform.
• Write and review production-quality systems code in C/C++, C#, or Swift/Objective-C.
• Own architecture decisions on agent design, kernel-userspace interaction, and MDM deployment.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-platform team of 10+ endpoint engineers.
• Manage the full people management lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Drive quarterly planning and sprint execution across Mac, Windows, and Linux teams.
• Partner with VP of Engineering, Product Management, and Security Research on endpoint strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in systems or endpoint engineering (kernel-level, agent development, or OS-native APIs).
• 5+ years in an engineering management or tech lead role leading teams of 8+ engineers.
• Deep expertise in macOS (Endpoint Security framework), Windows (WDF/WDM driver development), or Linux (eBPF, LSM hooks).
• Proficiency in C/C++; experience with C# or Swift is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to debug kernel-level issues like kernel panics, race conditions, or memory corruption.
• Track record of hiring and retaining senior engineering talent.
• Startup DNA with the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
• Experience in security or enterprise software (DLP, EDR) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience building a Linux endpoint or security agent from zero to production.
• Familiarity with enterprise MDM platforms like Jamf, Kandji, or Intune.
• Experience with cross-platform agent architectures.
• Background in XDR/EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender).
• Contributions to open-source systems or security projects.
