Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a product engineering team responsible for core user workflows and data orchestration
• Own end-to-end engineering execution including roadmap sequencing, project scoping, and timeline accountability
• Drive engineering hiring including headcount planning, interview loops, and closing
• Hire, onboard, and develop a growing team of engineers while fostering a culture of high standards
• Partner with staff engineers to remove friction and accelerate delivery through better tooling and automation
• Coordinate with Product and Design to triage, prioritize, and sequence work
• Manage incident response, on-call posture, and post-mortems to increase system reliability

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with experience as both an IC and an Engineering Manager
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations (ideally from small teams to 20–30+ engineers)
• Experience at an early-stage startup (Series B or earlier, or <100 employees)
• Experience building software for enterprise customers
• Experience with fintech APIs (e.g., Plaid, Stripe)
• Experience building APIs-as-a-product or data-intensive B2B platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience founding or building a company or product from scratch
• Experience with AI prompting, models, and tools
• Proficiency with Golang, Postgres, AWS, gRPC, and Terraform
• Proficiency with React, Node, and Playwright
