Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for Calendly’s data platform and ecosystem
- Build a scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient platform supporting analytics, experimentation, and AI use cases
- Drive modernization across data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and governance
- Build internal platform capabilities for analysts, data scientists, and ML engineers
- Recruit, guide, and develop engineers and people leaders
- Ensure systems meet service level commitments and are prepared to scale
Requirements
- 7+ years experience leading data and analytics engineering teams
- 10+ years of overall development experience, specifically with Data Platforms and Products
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, Scala, or strongly typed languages
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, batch/streaming pipelines, and orchestration
- Experience with data modeling, lineage, governance, and observability
- Proven ability to lead large projects and mentor teams toward big goals
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
