Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Storage

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers with a focus on career development and performance management
• Translate product requirements into actionable engineering plans, including architecture and design
• Lead architecture and design reviews and maintain technical quality across the team
• Drive incident response for storage-related issues to ensure fast resolution for business-critical systems
• Partner cross-functionally with Compute, SDN, SRE, and CCX teams to ensure storage integration
• Engage with hardware vendors and enterprise customers to inform next-generation design

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 6+ engineers
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with distributed storage systems (Ceph, GlusterFS, or MinIO)
• Experience with production block, file, and object storage systems
• Deep knowledge of high performance storage protocols (NFS over RDMA, NVMe-oF, S3, RoCE/InfiniBand)
• Strong programming background in C/C++, Go, Java, or Rust
• Experience with performance optimization and capacity planning for large-scale storage

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), neo-cloud, or HPC integrator
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible
• Knowledge of Linux internals, specifically I/O subsystems and volumes
