Senior Engineering Manager - Android Connectivity

We are addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that sets the standards for software-defined vehicles, including operating systems, zonal controllers, and connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a team of Android and Embedded SW engineers focused on Bluetooth and connectivity management
• Own and drive software development strategy for Bluetooth features on Android-based infotainment platforms
• Oversee integration of Bluetooth features within Android framework layers
• Lead architectural decisions for connectivity management and interaction with Android framework layers
• Oversee software development for building custom connectivity HAL layers
• Establish standards for modular, scalable software design
• Own the technical design process and guide developers on architectural choices
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, UI/UX, and platform teams
• Instill a culture of engineering excellence and accountability

Requirements

• B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years in an engineering management or technical lead role
• Strong background in Android platform development (framework, HAL, and application layers)
• Solid understanding of Bluetooth stack architecture (Bluedroid / BlueZ / Fluoride)
• Hands-on experience with Android ConnectivityManager and networking APIs
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking (IP routing, DHCP, DNS)
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C/C++
• Strong technical and strategic vision
• Excellent interpersonal and mentorship skills
