About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) services for PPP power and water projects.
  • Act as Lender’s Technical Engineer, Independent Engineer, or Transaction Advisor.
  • Support feasibility studies, FEED, benchmarking, cost analysis, and performance validation.
  • Review functional specifications, datasheets, layouts, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform technical reviews of PPAs, EPC, O&M, and LTSA contracts.
  • Monitor construction progress, review method statements, and attend FATs.
  • Provide technical support to utilities, developers, lenders, governments, and investors.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly construction progress reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the consulting sector for power and water projects.
  • Mandatory experience in technical due diligence of PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two sectors: Desalination (SWRO), Sewage/Effluent Treatment, Renewable Energy (Solar PV, Wind, BESS), or Conventional Power Generation (CCGT, OCGT).
  • Knowledge of thermodynamic power plant cycles or energy yield assessment.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for project meetings.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in Business Management or a PG Diploma in construction management.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant PPP certifications.
  • Proficiency in GT PRO, Thermodynamic Modelling, PV Syst, or Wind Pro.
  • Knowledge of contract management in IPP/IWPP/IWP/ISTP projects.
