Senior Engineer - Structures

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural design for mid to high-rise buildings in accordance with American standard codes.
• Conduct complex calculations and undertake analysis, design, and manual checks using appropriate software.
• Manage project tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to improve their understanding of the design process and technical competence.
• Liaise with the WSP USA team to communicate design decisions, project progress, and potential risks.
• Follow strict document control and QA processes for drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Requirements

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in structural software including RAM SS, RAM Concept, ETABS, and Enercalc.
• Extensive experience in Reinforced Concrete, Steel, PT, and Wood designs.
• Proven experience in the analysis and design of mid to high-rise building structures.
• Working experience handling projects in high seismic zones (US West Coast experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of seismic design, including performance-based design.
• Excellent English communication skills and technical terminology proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in a US state or British Chartered Engineer status (or progress toward obtaining these).
• Basic experience in Revit drafting and modeling for building structures.
• Ability to develop spreadsheets and automate day-to-day engineering tasks.
