Senior Engineer - Structures

Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with Associate/Principal Engineers
• Collaborate with the WSP UK team to assemble design specifications and monitor preparation
• Define building requirements and purpose of use to facilitate detailed design
• Carry out detailed structural designs to WSP and B Regulations standards, including complex calculations
• Review and monitor the production of calculations, ensuring technical review and QA sign-off
• Provide documentary information to assist in the preparation of tender documents
• Lead the design process and encourage the team to deliver cost-effective solutions
• Manage document control, archiving, and CDM/QA processes, including coaching junior staff

Requirements

• Proven experience in the design of Building Structures
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, or ETabs
• Strong technical communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)

Preferred Qualifications

• British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent
• Membership to an accredited engineering body
