Senior Engineer - Structures

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction
• Produce and review high-quality designs, calculations, and contract documentation
• Manage project delivery to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support business development
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers to support their professional development
• Apply innovative thinking to solve complex engineering challenges

Requirements

• BE (Structural) or equivalent (Washington Accord)
• CPEng (Structural) or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience within structural engineering
• Strong design capability in steel, concrete, and timber
• Solid understanding of NZ standards, seismic design, and construction practices
• Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and client relationships
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, client-centric mindset
