Senior Engineer - Structural

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process, providing cost-effective solutions and technical excellence across projects.
• Prepare feasibility study reports and assemble design specifications compliant with employer requirements.
• Perform detailed structural design, including complex calculations and technical reviews.
• Monitor the production of calculations and ensure all work meets QA and codal standard requirements.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, raising the overall technical competence of the team.
• Liaise with the WSP India ME Team to manage design progress, resolve day-to-day queries, and assist in tender document preparation.
• Implement delivery and quality measurement processes while following strict document control and QA protocols.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural design, specifically with building structures.
• Membership to an accredited engineering body (Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is highly desirable).
• Proficiency in technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, or STAAD.
• Strong technical communication and presentation skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing delegated tasks and meeting project deadlines independently.
• Experience in a senior or leadership role within a professional engineering consultancy.
