Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analyses to solve and report on complex issues related to design, life assessment, and root cause failure analyses
• Contribute to advanced testing, including the assessment of the physical structure and behavior of metals and materials
• Conduct heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and structural stress analyses of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, bridges, and other structures
• Utilize classical and finite element analysis methods (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SAP)
• Apply industry codes and standards for the design and analysis of structures and systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience
• Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, or SAP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with efficient use of Microsoft products
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances at commercial nuclear plants
• Ability to travel to customer or project sites, which may include weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Professional Engineer (PE) license
