Senior Engineer (Roads)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents for road rehabilitation and maintenance works
• Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to approved designs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks
• Oversee and coordinate contractor activities, monitoring daily progress and resolving technical issues
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, project specifications, and AD Ports Group standards
• Monitor and report cash flow forecasts and analyze variances between planned and actual costs
• Verify contractor payment applications and invoices to support the approval workflow
• Support the development of the annual budget plan for the Facilities Management department
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff in road maintenance operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE
• At least 5 years of experience specifically in road or highway infrastructure engineering
• Proven experience in road Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and construction supervision
• Strong expertise in cost control and contract administration
• Deep knowledge of design standards and inspection protocols
• Excellent written and spoken English skills; Arabic language skills are an advantage
