Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform FOSS compliance analysis for software products and services across various business units.
• Identify and analyze OSS licenses to assess impact on commercial distribution.
• Maintain accurate inventories of components, licenses, obligations, and attributions.
• Operate and integrate SCA tooling (FossID preferred) into development workflows.
• Automate compliance workflows using Python for scanning, SBOM generation, and reporting.
• Apply SBOM standards (SPDX, CycloneDX) across the product lifecycle.
• Conduct OSS risk assessments regarding licensing, security, and provenance.
• Guide development teams on OSS intake, dependency linking, and proper attribution.
• Support reviews, audits, and governance activities, including pre-release compliance gates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with FOSS compliance analysis, reporting, and publishing.
• Experience using Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools like FossID or Blackduck.
• Familiarity with SBOM standards such as SPDX and CycloneDX.
• Ability to automate license compliance reporting and integrate it into CI/CD processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity or experience with the OpenChain standard and its implementation.
• Experience with Linux OS.
• Ability to read programming languages including Go.
