Senior Engineer, Planning

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using defined planning methodologies, including schedule basis, assumptions, and coding structures.
• Establish and manage schedule baselines in alignment with contract requirements and project controls standards.
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to monitor critical and near-critical activities.
• Conduct delay analysis, impact assessments, and evaluate schedule changes or claims.
• Propose schedule crashing, fast-tracking, and recovery strategies to mitigate delays and achieve milestones.
• Perform schedule variance analysis against baselines to identify root causes and trends.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports highlighting progress, risks, and productivity.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure realistic schedules.
• Validate contractor schedules and progress updates to identify discrepancies or non-compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or a relevant discipline).
• 7+ years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling within EPC, industrial construction, semiconductor fabs, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM), delay analysis, and recovery planning techniques.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards.
• Working knowledge of MS Project and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Project Planning or Project Management (Primavera P6, PMP, PSP, or equivalent).
• Experience with productivity measurement, progress curves (S-curves), and forecasting.
• Familiarity with contract scheduling requirements and claim support documentation.
