Senior Engineer - Pavements and Surfacing

Responsibilities

• Support the national Transport team across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Hamilton on major projects.
• Perform pavement analysis and design for a variety of infrastructure including roads, airports, ports, and industrial pavements.
• Execute pavement site investigations, analysis, and detailed reporting.
• Represent WSP on major maintenance and capital projects to identify new opportunities.
• Provide strategic advice to clients and contribute to local client engagement to strengthen market profile.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and incorporate innovative approaches into design work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pavement engineering profession.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Achieved or actively working towards Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) status or equivalent.
• Proven experience in pavement site investigations, analysis, design, and reporting.
• Proficiency in pavement engineering software such as CIRCLY or AustPADS.
• A current, clean driver license.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pavement and surfacing construction monitoring.
