About the role
Responsibilities
- Work in the Packaging R&D group on thermal designs across semiconductor packaging, flash product PCBA, and host levels
- Perform thermal modeling (CFD) and validation of flash products PCBA using analytical/numerical analysis and measurement techniques
- Develop solutions for small form factor packages with constrained physical and thermal environments
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of engineering drafting standards and tolerance analysis
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal fabrication
- Experience working with outside suppliers and contract manufacturers
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in electronic consumer product design
- Experience in retail packaging design
