Senior Engineer, Network Observability

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain telemetry and monitoring systems for a global GPU cloud network
• Build and automate custom collectors, exporters, and dashboards using Python and Golang
• Ingest and unify telemetry across multi-vendor network platforms including Arista, NVIDIA, and Nokia
• Design telemetry solutions using gNMI, SNMP, and streaming analytics
• Integrate systems into Kubernetes-native environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally via RFCs and design discussions with SRE and security teams
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and mentor junior team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, SRE, Software Developer, or Systems Administrator
• Deep technical familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, gNMI, and SNMP
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and Bash scripting
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Jinja2
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems and IP networking (routing, switching, protocol troubleshooting)
• Hands-on familiarity with Arista EOS, NVIDIA Cumulus Linux, Nokia SR OS, or SR Linux
• Experience containerizing solutions in Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or Zipkin
• Practical experience applying Machine Learning (TensorFlow, scikit-learn) for anomaly detection
• Industry network certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
