Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Equipment & Reliability

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and develop engineering solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Design and support system modifications, equipment upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Manage equipment lifecycle activities within the CMMS, including preventive maintenance strategies and spare parts optimization.
• Develop and monitor equipment performance metrics such as availability, reliability, and downtime.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned manufacturing systems, providing guidance on design, maintenance, and compliance.
• Support investigations involving equipment-related deviations, non-conformances, and CAPA implementation.
• Coordinate project activities with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of Engineering experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and GLP within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience with equipment reliability and maintenance strategies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience serving as an equipment owner within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Background in equipment reliability engineering and maintenance optimization.
• Knowledge of change control, deviation investigations, and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with equipment qualification, validation, and regulatory compliance.
