About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead technical efforts for warranty reduction, production support, and value improvement for Lube and Coolant engine subsystems
- Analyze field issues by gathering warranty data, reviewing failed components, and requesting field investigations
- Drive quality and system-level thinking into problem identification, root cause rigor, and project execution
- Own and lead complex Continuous Improvement (CI) projects requiring high technical expertise and multi-disciplinary team coordination
- Provide technical assistance, training, mentoring, and guidance to other CI Engineers on the team
- Assign projects to CI Engineers, balancing complexity, expertise, and group workload
- Collaborate with PDP and Global CI teams to share lessons learned and update design guidelines
Requirements
- 5 or more years of product engineering experience
- Strong technical leadership skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in engine lube and coolant systems
- Experience in engine development competencies such as manufacturing, applications, performance, or lab/field testing
- Proficiency with Six Sigma, systems engineering, or other advanced root cause analysis tools
- Experience serving as a mentor to less experienced engineers
- Experience working within global teams
