Senior Engineer, Lube & Coolant CI

Responsibilities

• Lead technical efforts for warranty reduction, production support, and value improvement for Lube and Coolant engine subsystems
• Analyze field issues by gathering warranty data, reviewing failed components, and requesting field investigations
• Drive quality and system-level thinking into problem identification, root cause rigor, and project execution
• Own and lead complex Continuous Improvement (CI) projects requiring high technical expertise and multi-disciplinary team coordination
• Provide technical assistance, training, mentoring, and guidance to other CI Engineers on the team
• Assign projects to CI Engineers, balancing complexity, expertise, and group workload
• Collaborate with PDP and Global CI teams to share lessons learned and update design guidelines

Requirements

• 5 or more years of product engineering experience
• Strong technical leadership skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in engine lube and coolant systems
• Experience in engine development competencies such as manufacturing, applications, performance, or lab/field testing
• Proficiency with Six Sigma, systems engineering, or other advanced root cause analysis tools
• Experience serving as a mentor to less experienced engineers
• Experience working within global teams
