About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-project engineering programs focused on the development, integration, and deployment of custom hardware, controls, and automation systems
  • Own end-to-end program execution across internal stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, and external vendors
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through commissioning, including scope, scheduling, risk management, and budgeting
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, and Finance to manage MSAs, SOWs, and vendor contracting
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, construction, and IT
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure hardware and control systems meet technical and regulatory expectations
  • Communicate program status, risks, and financial performance to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Automation, or related)
  • 3-5 years of experience delivering complex systems engineering, automation, or industrial control programs
  • Experience in life sciences, regulated manufacturing, or industrial automation integration environments
  • Strong background in systems integration, including controls, SCADA, and hardware/software interfaces
  • Experience executing projects within quality management systems (e.g., GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11)
  • Strong financial and program management skills including budgeting and forecasting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience supporting laboratory, manufacturing, or research environments in life sciences
  • PMP or equivalent project/program management certification
  • Six Sigma or continuous improvement training
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems to standardized architectures
