Senior Engineer- IP

Responsibilities

• Perform alarm analysis, operation-maintenance, and troubleshooting on IP nodes including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and security gateways
• Implement change requests and manage fault management for all router and switch equipment
• Supervise ITSM ticket queues to maintain Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and ensure high service availability
• Identify root causes for P0-P4 incidents and recommend appropriate resolution actions through Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Act as the first point of contact for alarm, event, and KPI-related issues
• Collaborate closely with field teams for hardware failures and node reachability activities
• Conduct node health checks, perform backups, and troubleshoot identified deviations
• Support problem management, data analytics, and customer governance handling

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the IP domain
• Strong knowledge of IP networking protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, BGP-LU, MPLS, Inter-AS, LDP, RSVP, TE, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, and Segment Routing
• Understanding of switching technologies: VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and HSRP
• Proficiency in IP security protocols: IPSEC, GRE, VPN, and CGNAT
• Experience with Cisco products and architectures (Spine-leaf, Border-Leaf, VX-LAN)
• Knowledge of Telecom service flows and interfaces (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
• Hands-on experience with vendor equipment such as Juniper, Nokia/Alcatel, Huawei, or Ericsson
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls
• Knowledge of F5 Load balancers
• Experience with Ericsson BRAS
