Senior Engineer, Internal Tools

About the Company

A1 is building a proactive smart assistant for everyday users to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows with minimal prompting. The mission is to achieve high reliability for long-running workflows and real-world task completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal platforms and tools for People, Finance, Ops, Sales, and Engineering teams.
• Build API-first integrations across the internal ecosystem, connecting HRIS, CRM, and finance platforms.
• Implement AI/LLM-powered features into internal workflows to automate approvals, knowledge retrieval, and reporting.
• Own services end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building internal tools or business systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal or Airflow.
• Frontend experience with React or Next.js.
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered features into production environments.
