Senior Engineer II, Technical Support

Responsibilities

• Lead early engagement and field readiness for new product introductions (NPI) to ensure successful tool deployment.
• Act as a technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and field teams during tool installation and startup.
• Support initial tool builds in manufacturing facilities and validate readiness for customer shipment.
• Partner with Global Product Support and Field teams to install, bring up, and verify tool performance at customer sites.
• Train and mentor local Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to ensure they are qualified to support new tools independently.
• Manage regional technical escalations during NPI phases to drive rapid issue resolution.
• Travel domestically and internationally (minimum 50%) to support customer fabs and demo labs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science) or equivalent technical training.
• Associate's degree in a technical field with 6+ years of in-fab experience is also accepted.
• 3+ years of experience with ALD, PEALD, EPI, PECVD, or CVD technologies.
• Proven experience with semiconductor tool installation, qualification, and ramp-up.
• Strong structured troubleshooting skills using hypothesis-based problem-solving.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within the electronic or semiconductor industry.
• Hands-on experience with ASM platforms such as XP8, Synergis, Intrepid, or Prominis.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and system-level hardware and software.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
