Senior Engineer II - Software

Responsibilities

• Develop customer-centric firmware and driver solutions for NCS products
• Act as both an individual contributor and a project leader as required
• Participate in technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews
• Create unit and system-level test cases for developed modules
• Engage in all phases of the product life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, implementation, and release
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams located globally

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, CSE, or EEE
• 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong proficiency in C programming within embedded environments
• Hands-on experience with 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit microcontrollers
• Experience with peripheral interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, I2C, or UART
• Proficiency with dynamic debugging tools like JTAG debuggers
• Experience using Logic Analyzers, protocol analyzers, and oscilloscopes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Ethernet, USB, or USB Power Delivery protocols
• Experience with Windows system programming and Windows device drivers
• Knowledge of RTOS, Linux, or Mac environments
• Experience using static analysis tools such as PC Lint or Coverity
• Knowledge of Assembly language programming
